Andrew James Young is an Actor, Writer, and Director who was born in Canada, completely planned, 7 years after his older brother. Growing up on what felt like a life episode of “Name That Tune” his brother drilled a love of music and performance into him. Because of this, or maybe in spite of it, he uses his love of music to influence his work, finding the rhythm and beat within every script he works on or writes. He began acting early on with a recurring role on the TVO Kid’s show “Taste Buds” and has continued to work on and hone his craft ever since. Not wanting to wait for someone to give him a job, he has co-founded a production company, Seriously Silly Films, written and directed an hour long pilot called “The Interrogation Unit” as well as a horror short called “Come On Up” that is currently being submitted to festivals around the globe! A recent graduate from the Actors Studio Drama School MFA program, he’s ready to take on the world. He’s determined to find the roles that are right for him and if all else fails, he’ll write them himself.
